On February 10, at 11:05 PM Police had conducted a motor vehicle stop on Frontage road that leads to Route 287 South on ramp. After completion of this motor vehicle stop the Driver of the vehicle revved the engine of his vehicle and rapidly accelerated to over 80 miles per hour. The Officer pursued the vehicle and attempted to stop the vehicle when the driver shut off his lights. The suspect vehicle then exited Route 287 at Route 202. The driver finally stopped the vehicle and when the Officer approached the vehicle he stated “I messed up”. The driver was identified as Cengiz K Varol age 25 of Parsippany. He was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters where he was processed and charged with Speeding, Reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, Failure to maintain lamps, Possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, Possession of CDS and possession of fireworks, and eluding and officer which is a third degree crime. Bail was set by Judge Wubbenhorst at $10,000 with a 10% option. The suspect was released after posting bail.

On February 12 at 11:21 pm Officers observed a 1998 Plymouth Minivan traveling south on Myrtle Ave weaving within its lane. A motor vehicle stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Jennifer L Wyzga age 33 of Lake Hiawatha. She was allegedly driving while intoxicated and she was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. She was additionally charged with reckless driving, Loud Exhaust, and obstructed windshield. She was released pending a court date.

On February 13, Boonton Detective Leroy Harris charged Angelo J Gallow age 32 of West Milford and Niki Curran age 54 of West Milford with shoplifting from the Wal-mart. The incident occurred on January 19
th where the duo removed a total of $5,570.00 worth of electronics merchandise from the store.

On February 14, john W DeWitt III age 51 of Lake Hiawatha was charged with writing a bad check to Kings Supermarket. The check in question was issued in May of 2011 and Dewitt failed to make payment. He was mailed a summons and is due to appear in court.

On February 17, 2012 at 1:12 am Police arrested Michael J Wagner age 18 of Stirling NJ for allegedly driving while intoxicated. He was transported to police headquarters for processing and was additionally charged with Reckless driving, Possession of CDS and Possession of paraphernalia. He was released pending a court date.
