On 6-17-13 at 12:35 AM, Ptl. Anthony LiMandri arrested Raymond Bly age 30, of Boonton, on several outstanding warrants from multiple jurisdictions totaling $1359.00. He was processed, and subsequently turned over to Andover Twp. Police in default of bail.

On 6-18-13 at 3:12 PM, Ptl. Michael Gulla responded to the Boonton Wal-Mart on a report of store security having a shoplifter in custody. The suspect, a 16 yr old male, allegedly along with two other accomplices that had fled from store security prior to police arrival, concealed numerous items of clothing valued at $92.12 in a bag of theirs. The juvenile was taken into custody, charged, processed, and later turned over to a parent.

On 6-20-13 at 1:32 AM Ptl. Christopher Petonak observed a vehicle on Fanny Rd. with a headlamp out. A motor vehicle stop was conducted, at which time the suspect vehicle struck a curb, driving up over it and back down onto the roadway before coming to a stop. Conor F. Dowling, age 23 of Boonton Twp. was identified as the driver. In speaking with the driver the Officer observed that he appeared intoxicated, and detected an odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath. The driver was given field sobriety tests and subsequently placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. He was transported to police headquarters for processing where he was additionally charged with violations of maintenance of required lamps, failure to produce a valid registration card, and reckless driving. He was processed and released pending a court date.

On 6-20-13 at 11:28 PM, Ptl. Christopher Petonak arrested Khayyam Islam, age 31, of Boonton, on an outstanding contempt of court warrant out of Boonton. He was processed and released after posting $250 bail.

On 6-25-13 at 10:15 AM, a manager of a gas station located on the 900 block of Main St., reported that the business was the victim of a theft by one of their employees. The manager reported that after conducting an internal investigation, it was found that the employee had allegedly failed to deposit approximately $1,010.00 in cash from the day’s fuel sales on 6-22-13. After a subsequent investigation conducted by Ptl. Petonak of this Agency, the employee was identified as Mr. Otis “Bobby” Parrish Jr., age 48, of Boonton. Mr. Parrish was subsequently unable to be located, and was mailed a complaint to his last known address for theft, and is due to appear in Court to answer these charges.

On 6-25-13 at 10:16 PM, Ptl. Anthony Cosentino & Sgt. Royce Stafford responded to an address on the 200 block of Myrtle Ave. on a report of an unwanted person yelling profanities at the property owner, refusing to leave. The individual was identified as Rachel Bellaff, age 42, of Boonton. Ms. Bellaff agreed to leave upon police arrival, being instructed to not return, however she then began walking down the middle of Myrtle Ave. into oncoming traffic, screaming profanities at drivers of vehicles, police, and the original caller. She was subsequently placed under arrest for disorderly conduct. She was processed and released pending a court date.

On 6-26-13 at 4:59 PM, Ptl. Daniel Mondino, charged Charles W. Mccombs III, age 29, of Boonton, with two (2) counts of knowingly displaying a canceled or fraudulent automobile insurance card. He allegedly displayed the cancelled card on 6/12/13 during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Ptl. Mondino, and then again displayed another canceled card, different from the first, upon his first court appearance on 6/25/13. Matter is pending Court.

On 6-26-13 at 8:15 PM, Ptl. George Johnson and Sgt. Richard Vnencak responded to a 911 call reporting a dispute in progress at a residence on the 600 block of Boonton Ave. An investigation revealed that Aurangzeb Khan, age 48, of Boonton, got into a heated argument with family members in which he broke several dishes and cups. Upon police arrival he then allegedly confronted Officers, becoming combative, and had to be physically subdued. He was taken into custody, processed, and subsequently charged with criminal mischief, obstructing, & resisting arrest. He was released pending a Court date.

On 6-28-13 at 12:14 PM, a manager of a Boonton business located on Monroe St. reported the business as being a victim of several thefts by an employee. The manager reported that after conducting an internal investigation, it was found that the employee had allegedly stolen nearly $5,300.00 in merchandise and subsequently sold it on a popular online auction site. After a subsequent investigation conducted by Ptl. Petonak & Ptl. Bolcar of this Agency, the employee was identified as Mr. Robert W. Coughlin Jr., age 63, of Randolph. He was arrested at the business in question, and transported to police headquarters, processed, charged with theft, and released pending a Court date.

On 6-28-13 at 10:59 PM, Ptl. Anthony Cosentino, Ptl. Brian Walinski, and Lt. Stephen Jones, responded to a residence on the 400 block of Church St. on a report of a noise complaint. Upon arrival it was found that Vincent M. Merlino, age 20, of Boonton lived at the residence, and was hosting an underage drinking party while his parent was not home. He was placed under arrest and charged with possession of alcoholic beverages, and providing alcoholic beverages to persons under the legal age. During the investigation it was further found that there was suspected marijuana use at the party as well. As a result two additional adult males, Robert Roberts, age 22, and Michael Walker, age 18, both of Boonton, one juvenile male age 16, of Boonton, and two juvenile females, ages 15 and 16, of Denville & Flanders, were also arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. The adult suspects were taken into custody, processed, and released pending a Court date. The juvenile suspects were also taken into custody, processed, released to their respective guardians, and are pending juvenile court action.

On 6-30-13 at 7:58 PM, Ptl. Anthony Cosentino, arrested Jennifer Valentin, age 29, of Boonton for simple assault. Ptl. Cosentino & Ptl. Walinski had responded to a residence on the 300 block of Main St. for a dispute. Upon arrival their investigation revealed that Ms. Valentin allegedly assaulted a male acquaintance. She was taken into custody, transported to headquarters, processed, and released pending a Court date.

On 7-1-13 at 11:18 AM, Ptl. Scott Gamsby arrested Mohamad F. Raja, age 66, of Montville, on an outstanding contempt of court warrant out of Montville, resulting from a motor vehicle stop. He was processed and released after posting bail.

On 7-1-13 at 4:47 PM, Ptl. Daniel Mondino arrested Jeremiah L. Garcia, age 22, of Wharton, on an outstanding contempt of court warrant out of Dover, resulting from a motor vehicle stop. He was processed and released after posting $750.00 bail.

On 7-1-13 at 4:48 PM, Sgt. Richard Vnencak arrested Cooper K. Emery, age 22, of Boonton for driving while suspended, resulting from a motor vehicle stop. Mr. Emery was found to have suspended driving privileges in the State of New Jersey for a second DWI conviction, which enhances the penalties making it a crime of the 4
th degree. He was further found to be operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device installed as required by his sentence. He was taken into custody, processed, and released pending a Court date.

On 7-2-13 at 9:26 AM, Ptl. Scott Gamsby, arrested Arthur G. Nadeau 4
th, age 38, of Ledgewood, on an outstanding no bail warrant out of the Warren County Sheriff’s Dept. He was processed and subsequently turned over to the Warren County Fugitive Unit.

On 7-4-13 at 3:50 AM, Ptl. Anthony LiMandri, arrested Dawn Ortiz-Bollis, age 39, of Boonton for simple assault. Ptl. LiMandri & Ptl. Walinski had responded to a residence on the 100 block of Harrison St. for a 911 call where the caller stated they had misdialed. Upon arrival their investigation revealed that Ms. Ortiz-Bollis allegedly assaulted a male acquaintance. She was taken into custody, transported to headquarters, processed, and released pending a Court date.

On 7-4-13 at 11:07 AM, Ptl. Scott Gamsby arrested Aleon Ryan, age 29, of Lake Hiawatha, for driving while suspended, as well as having an outstanding contempt of court warrant out of Denville, resulting from a motor vehicle stop. He was processed and released after posting $1,000.00 bail pending a Court date.

On 7-4-13 at 12:47 PM, Ptl. Joseph Bolcar, Ptl. Christopher Petonak & Ptl. Karl Mangino responded to an address on the 300 block of Mechanic St. on a report of an unwanted person who was highly intoxicated refusing to leave the property, and causing a disturbance. The individual was identified as Robert Kaminski, age 54, of Boonton. Mr. Kaminski continued to act unruly and boisterous in Police presence, and was subsequently placed under arrest for disorderly conduct. He was processed and released pending a Court date, being instructed to not to return to the property in question.

On 7-5-13 at 12:01 AM Ptl. Anthony LiMandri observed a vehicle fail to maintain its lane on several occasions while traveling on Main St. A motor vehicle stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Miles H. Koehler, age 20, of Boonton Twp. In speaking with the driver the Officer detected an odor of alcoholic beverage. After a roadside investigation he was arrested and charged with Failure to Keep Right, Failure to Maintain Lane, Reckless Driving, and Driving While Intoxicated. He was processed and released pending a court date.

On 7-5-13 at 12:51 AM Ptl. Christopher Petonak observed a vehicle fail to maintain its lane on several occasions while traveling on Main St. Ptl. Petonak activated his emergency lights and siren, however the vehicle began to rapidly accelerate, crossing into the oncoming lane on Main St. several times. A motor vehicle stop was finally conducted approximately seven blocks from the initial encounter after the driver eventually decided to stop, and the driver was identified as Ms. Mi K. Lee, age 61, of Ramsey. In speaking with the driver the Officer detected an odor of alcoholic beverage. After a roadside investigation she was arrested and charged with Failure to Keep Right, Failure to yield to an Emergency Vehicle, Reckless Driving, Refusal to Submit to a Breath Test, Driving While Intoxicated, and given a criminal charge for Eluding an Officer. She was processed and released pending a court date.

On 7-8-13 at 6:03 AM, Ptl. Michael Gulla, arrested Luis A. Diaz, age 32, of Boonton for Aggravated Assault. The victim, a female acquaintance, responded to the Police Department and stated she was assaulted by the suspect at a residence on the 300 block of Main St. The victim displayed signs of injury consistent with her account. Police investigation revealed that the suspect allegedly assaulted her. The suspect was located at his place of work on the 300 block of Wootton St. He was taken into custody, transported to headquarters, processed, and remanded to the Morris County Jail in default of $5000.00 bail with No 10% option.

On 7-12-13 at 10:09 PM, Ptl. Christopher Petonak & Ptl. Joseph Bolcar observed two vehicles parked in the middle of Jinella Ct. obstructing the roadway. A motor vehicle stop was conducted and upon further investigation, Vikram Singh, age 22, of Parsippany, the driver of one of the vehicles, was subsequently arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and for Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance in a motor vehicle. His passenger, Xavier H. Duran-Delgado, age 21, also of Parsippany was additionally arrested for Obstructing an Officer, for allegedly interfering with the investigation, refusing to cooperate when being patted down for weapons, and not obeying several lawful orders from Officers on scene. They were taken into custody, transported to headquarters, processed, and released pending a Court date.

On 7-14-13 at 1:00 AM, Ptl. Christopher Petonak & Ptl. Joseph Bolcar arrested Rodolfo P. Giordano, age 26, of Boonton, for Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia, while conducting an investigation into two suspicious vehicles parked on Lathrop Ave. near Vreeland Ave. Mr. Giordano was found to be one of the occupants of the vehicles in question. He was taken into custody, transported to headquarters, processed, and released pending a Court date.

On 7-14-13 at 9:40 PM, Ptl. Christopher Petonak & Ptl. Joseph Bolcar arrested Matina S. Skrivanos, age 24, of Parsippany, for simple assault & criminal mischief. Ptl. Petonak & Ptl. Bolcar had responded to a residence on the 400 block of Morris Ave. for a 911 call reporting a dispute. Upon arrival their investigation revealed that Ms. Skrivanos allegedly assaulted a male acquaintance, and further damaged a piece of eyewear and jewelry belonging to him. She was taken into custody, transported to headquarters, processed, and released pending a Court date.

On 7-15-13 at 12:00 PM, Ptl. Michael Gulla, Ptl. Andre Gibson, & Lt. Stephen Jones responded to the Boonton Wal-Mart on a report of a shoplifter fleeing from store security. Security had identified the individual from surveillance cameras, as having allegedly stolen numerous cans of baby formula on 6/29/13 and 6/30/13 in the amount of $1,259.08. Upon recognizing him in person on this date they attempted to stop him however he fled. Officers located him on Wootton St. and subsequently took him into custody. Curtis H. Kitchen Jr., age 30, of Garfield, was placed under arrest, processed, charged with Shoplifting, and remanded to the Morris County Jail in default of $2500.00 bail with a 10% option.

Between the dates of 6-17-13 and 7-17-13 the Town of Boonton Police Department handled 45 motor vehicle crash investigations, 3 assault investigations, 3 theft investigations, 4 domestic violence incident investigations, conducted 364 motor vehicle stops, responded to 25 burglar alarms, responded to 64 medical emergencies, responded to 7 fire alarms, arrested 32 persons total, and investigated 148 other various incidents.

A charge is merely an accusation, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
